Viola Mae Clark, 76, of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024, at Mammoth Spring, Arkansas. Viola was born in Greenway, Arkansas on April 7, 1947, to Ollie Dallas Petty and Bertha McHaley (Thornton) Petty.
Viola was united in marriage to Timothy Dean Clark on December 22, 2019, in Alpena, Arkansas. Viola worked on the assembly line at Emerson and as a prep cook at various places. She was a hard worker and loved to joke around. She loved her grandson dearly and being his Granny. She also loved her friends and animals. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, friend, and was of the Baptist faith.
Viola is survived by her husband, Tim Clark of Camp, Arkansas; son, Jeffery Cowgill of Grady, Arkansas; grandson, Collin Cowgill of Tupelo, Mississippi; three sisters, Mary Rose (Petty) Branscum Worthen of Salem, Arkansas, Edna May (Petty) Shaw of Greenway, Arkansas, and Della Gail (Lewis) Jackson and husband Robert of Piggot, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her first husband (Jerry Cowgill), second husband (Joe Bolton, Sr.), parents (Ollie Petty, Bertha Petty Lewis, and Willie Lewis), three brothers (Dallas Petty, Barney Petty, and Buryl Petty), and sister (Martha Jane Petty Gookin).
A memorial visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M., Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 P.M. Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Kenny Tyler's Residence (2105 Coyote Road, Mammoth Spring, Arkansas 72554). Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
