Travis Keith Smith

Travis Keith Smith, 47, of Salem, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024, in Salem, Arkansas. Travis was born on January 24, 1977, in San Luis Obispo, California. Travis served our country in the United States Army for over twenty years. Travis received numerous medals and awards, retired as a Sergeant First Class, and served during the Iraq War. Travis was a loving father and loved his family dearly. Travis was a gentleman, protector, and always put others' needs before his own. After retiring he worked as a mechanic and was really a jack of all trades. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, friend, and was of the Baptist faith. 

Travis leaves to mourn his passing, fiancé, Jean Ann Jackson of Salem, Arkansas; son, Jasper Keith Smith (Savannah Folsom) of Williston, North Dakota; bonus boys, Chance and Spencer Jackson of Salem, Arkansas; daughter, Baily Katherine Smith of Salem, Arkansas; grandson, Jaxon Keith Smith of Williston, North Dakota; mother, Teri Brooks of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; brother, Toby Smith (Christine Kodrich) of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; three sisters, Hillary Brooks (Christopher Trey Hill) of Cord, Arkansas, Holly Roudis of Illinois, and Jennifer Brooks of Illinois; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father (Doug Brooks). 

Memorial services will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with James Elbert officiating. Memorials may be given to the Stop Soldier Suicide Organization. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
