Stephen Grant Swingle, 72, of Salem, Arkansas passed from this life Thursday, March 10,2022, at West Plains, Missouri. Stephen was born to Everett Grant and Barbara Neal (Pohlenz) Swingle on August 15, 1949, in Wellington, Kansas.
Stephen was united in marriage to Georgia Lee Rohman on August 29, 1975, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Stephen spent his working years as an Industrial Maintenance Supervisor. Stephen opened Swingle’s Restaurant in Salem, Arkansas in 2009. Stephen was the pillar of the family and loved them all dearly. Stephen was a member of the Shepherd’s Chapel at Gravette, Arkansas and was strong in his faith. He truly enjoyed riding his Harley and rode cross country at the age of eighteen. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend.
Stephen leaves to mourn his passing, wife, Georgia Swingle of Salem, Arkansas; son, Stephen Swingle and wife Keisha of Salem, Arkansas; three daughters, Shonda Gross and husband Michael of Salem, Arkansas, Debra Rohman of Hastings, Nebraska, and Wendy Budd and husband David of Mountain Home, Arkansas; nineteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother, Jim Swingle and wife Beverly of Escondido, California; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents (Everett and Barbara Swingle), two sons (Joseph Swingle and Stephen Grant Swingle, Jr.), sister (Cheryl Lynn Swingle), grandparents, and several friends.
A Celebration of Life will start at 12:00 P.M. and last throughout the afternoon on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at the residence of Stephen and Georgia Swingle, 123 Ken Drive, Salem, Arkansas. Memorials may be made to Shepherd’s Chapel at 102 8th Avenue NE, Gravette, Arkansas 72736. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home LLC of Salem, Arkansas.
