Stanley Hall

April 11, 1950 — May 25, 2023

Stanley Hall, 73, of Heart, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Care Manor in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Stanley was born April 11, 1950, in Heart, Arkansas, the middle of three children, to Carl and Violet Verniece (Stroud) Hall. Stanley was raised on Lick Creek and stumped his toes on every rock between Lick Creek and Flat Branch. Stanley was baptized there in April 1961 to become a member of the Heart Baptist Church.

Stanley graduated from Salem High School with the class of 1968. Following graduation, he was drafted by the United States Army where he served in Can-Tho and the Binthui Air Strip of Vietnam. After six years of service (1969-1975) he was honorably discharged and received recognition as a Sharpshooter. Coming home after the war, marriage gave him two sons, Derek and Dustin Hall. Stanley was a tough man who made his life and living as owner of Hall Logging, employing several family members over the years as well as his boys during their early years and young adult life. Stanley worked hard and played hard. He was a standing member of the Heart Men’s Softball team, the Heart Motorcycle Gang, and was the president of Stanley Hall’s deer camp. In December of 1989, he married the love of his life, the late Lena Mae Hall, who brought two more sons to this union, Byron Price and Blake Turner. Stanley and Lena spent their weekends at the river or lake camping and fishing, Sundays were spent watching NASCAR, their weeknights at their granddaughters’ ballgames of every kind, and cool evenings swinging on the porch with their dogs.

Stanley is survived by his sons, Derek and wife Karen Hall of Heart, Arkansas, Dustin Hall of Heart, Arkansas, Byron and wife Shauna Price of Salem, Arkansas, and Blake Turner of Salem, Arkansas; brother Bruce Hall of Salem, Arkansas; brother-in-law Mike Smith of Heart, Arkansas; Army brother and best friend Ray Gibson and wife Jeannie of Halliday, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren Callie Hall, Leslie Hall, Lanie Hall, Matthew Hall, Jackie Marlin (Barry), Preston McCord (Ashley), Sami Jo Hardin (Hunter), Tommy Lamar (Kayla), Baylei Lamar (Jordan), Mitchell Lamar (Kelsey), and Madilyn Price; fourteen great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
