Shirley Jean Sutherland

Shirley Jean Sutherland, 77, of Lebanon, Missouri, passed away from this life on November 20, 2023, in Lebanon, Missouri. Shirley was born May 27, 1946, in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas to Kenneth Eugene Vaughn and Melba (Chesnut) Vaughn. 
 
Shirley was united in marriage to Jackie Ray Sutherland on May 2, 1964, at Fryatt, Arkansas. Shirley spent her working years as a preschool teacher.  Shirley loved being around children and they loved her. Shirley loved being with her family, reading, being outdoors, mowing the yard, and watching tennis and baseball. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and was of the Baptist faith. 
 
Shirley is survived by her husband, Jack Sutherland of Lebanon, Missouri; son, Jason Sutherland of Lebanon, Missouri; daughter, Ashley Sutherland of Lebanon, Missouri; two grandchildren, Sophia and Elijah Sutherland; two sisters, Joyce Vaughn of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas and Joan Henley of Jonesboro, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents (Kenneth and Melba Vaughn) and brother (Kenny Vaughn). 
 
Memorial services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Camp United Methodist Church in Camp, Arkansas with Kenny Crawford officiating. Visitation will be from 12 noon until time of service on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at the Camp United Methodist Church.   Memorials may be made to Camp Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
