Sharon Danna (Sanders) Maguffee

Sharon Danna (Sanders) Maguffee, 77, of Salem, Arkansas passed from this life on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Mountain Home, Arkansas. Sharon was born on September 25, 1947, to James Owen and Edna Reable (Ross) Sanders in Viola, Arkansas.

Sharon was united in marriage to Gene Dan Maguffee on July 10, 1970, at Salem, Arkansas.  Sharon spent her working years as a homemaker, raised a variety of animals, and was an avid gardener. She loved her family and enjoyed being a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, and was a member of the Salem First Baptist Church.

Sharon leaves to mourn her passing two daughters, Dana Gene Shewbuirt of Harrison, Arkansas and Whitney Lynn Roy (Gautam) of San Carlos, California; three grandchildren, David James Shewbuirt (Suzonne Harber) of Salem, Arkansas, Erica Lynn Spain (Hunter) of Paragould, Arkansas, and Jyoti Rose Roy of San Carlos, California; five great grandchildren, Ava Beard, Finley Shewbuirt, Samuel Spain, Warren Spain, and Abbigail Spain; brother, Donnie Sanders (Loetta Ash) of Alton, Missouri; three sisters, Audean Cantrell of Kansas City, Missouri, Wilma Comstock of West Plains, Missouri, and Polly York of Koshkonong, Missouri; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband (Gene Maguffee), parents (James Sanders and Edna Hopkins), and brother (Owen Sanders).

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas, with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. Interment will be Thursday, November 14, 2024, at the Salem, Cemetery in Salem, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be DJ Shewbuirt, Bob Maguffee, Gautam Roy, Marvin Maguffee, Caleb Shaver, and Cameron Shaver. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
