Ronald Lester Jones

Ronald Lester Jones, 83, of Salem, Arkansas, passed from this life on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Little Rock, Arkansas. Ronald was born September 11, 1941, in West Palm Beach, Florida to Eskell Cullen Jones and Margaret Elizabeth (Watson) Jones. 

Ronald was united in marriage to Claudia Mildred Pole in July of 1965 at West Palm Beach, Florida. Ronald served his country in the United States Marine Corp, worked as a Construction Foreman for seven years, five years as the owner/operator of Jones Catfish Farms in Koskkonong, Missouri, thirteen years at the Jones Grocery Store in Glencoe, Arkansas, four years at Alco Flea Market in Mtn. Home, and three years at the Oak Tree Antiques in Hardy. Ronald enjoyed air boating, gator hunting, deer hunting, coon hunting, fishing, and gardening but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family whom he loved dearly. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, friend, and was of the Baptist faith. 

Ronald leaves to mourn his passing, wife, Claudia Jones of Salem, Arkansas; son, Matthew Cullen Jones of Ward, Arkansas; two daughters, Stacey Lynn Jones of Ward, Arkansas and Kelley Elizabeth Delargy; three grandchildren, Dalton Wade Hurst, Gabriella Lynn Bellou, and Kylee Kaye Delargy; great grandchildren, Eden Marie Bellou, Grace Jordan Bellou, Carter Lane Ray Bellou, Amelia Mae Hurst, and TJ Bellou is on the way; two sisters, Charlotte Dean Letson of Franklin, North Carolina and Deloris Maxine Bradley (James R.) of Franklin, North Carolina; nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents (Eskell and Margaret Jones), brother (Kenneth Marvin Jones), and sister (Joan Ann Coffey). 

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 27, 2024, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. until time of service on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Barker Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
