Rickey Dwyane Corter ,61, of Viola, Arkansas was born on September 20, 1955 in Mountain View, Arkansas son of Euel Guy and Flossie Levern (Sexton). He departed this life on Saturday, July 8, 2017 in Viola, Arkansas. Rickey spent his working years as a farm supervisor for Gary and Susie Carter. He loved his children and grandchildren very much, he went above and beyond to see that they were happy. Rick was a man of many talents from woodworking to coloring pages with his grandchildren. He could build anything out of nothing and it would be magnificent, his talent was immeasurable. He was an avid antique collector and rarely passed an opportunity to add to his collections, trains, knives, stamps, and marbles just to name a few. He had a passion for hunting and always looked forward to his Nebraska hunting trips. Rick had a gift for helping others and would always put others before himself. Anyone who knew him knew that he could always be counted on. He was a member of the Viola Assembly of God Church. He is survived by his children, Jared Corter of Melbourne, Arkansas, Stasha Bean and husband Donnie of Edgemont, South Dakota and Madison Corter of Viola, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Shilon Bean, Tristen Bean, and Declon Bean (Due in September); mother, Flossie Corter of Carlise, Arkansas; brother, Tony Corter and wife Covella also of Carlise, Arkansas; sister, Alice Cartwright and husband Allen of Viola, Arkansas; special friends, Gary and Susie Carter of Jonesboro, Arkansas, many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be Tuesday July 11, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Viola Assembly of God Church in Viola, Arkansas with Bro. Allen Cartwright and Bro. Ryan Welch officiating. Graveside service to follow at 2:00 pm at Levisy Flats Cemetery in Mountain View, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Darick Brown, Neal McCandlis, Andy McCandlis, Bobby Munoz, Ryan Weyh and Ray Barker. Honorary Pallbearers are Joe Moody, Bobby Dawson, Gary Carter and Neal Campbell. Visitation will be Monday July 10, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Viola Assembly of God Church. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
