Richard Lionel Raines

Richard Lionel Raines, 63, of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, departed this life on July 29, 2022, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Richard was born to Carroll Vanderbilt Raines and Lizzie Mae (Johnson) Raines on December 3, 1958, in Asheville, North Carolina.

Richard worked 30 plus years working as a glazier and was a member of the Glaziers Union Local #27.  Richard loved being around his family and cooking for everybody.  Richard enjoyed his birds, fishing, and his property (farm life).  Richard also had an infectious smile and was known to be a prankster.  He was a loving son, brother, father, uncle, and friend.

Richard leaves to mourn his passing, son, John Raines of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; two brothers, Steve Raines (Debra) of Apple Valley, Minnesota and Keith Raines of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; three sisters, Judy Patterson (Wayne) of Round Lake Park, Illinois, Donna Osorio of Carpentersville, Illinois, and Karen Mabe (Terry) of Morgantown, Kentucky; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.

The family will have private services at a later date. Memorials are preferred to a Humane Society of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
