Phyllis Jean Denwalt, 75, of Gepp, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024, at Gepp, Arkansas. Phyllis was born on March 15, 1949, in Mangum, Oklahoma, to Elmo Petzold and Gladys (Hahn) Petzold.
Phyllis was united in marriage to Jack Thomas Denwalt on in Reno, Nevada and to this union two sons were born. Phyllis went to Business College in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and then went to work for Oklahoma Gas and Electric as a lineman. Phyllis was also a homemaker, bus driver and substitute teacher at Viola School, owner/operator at J & J Watersports and J & J Convenience, cattle farmer, and mowing yards. Phyllis loved her family and was of the Lutheran faith. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.
Phyllis leaves behind her husband, Jack Denwalt of Gepp, Arkansas; two sons, Jackie Denwalt (Miranda) of Mountain Home, Arkansas and Joey Denwalt (Claire Brown) of Mountain Home, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Josephine, Quinton, Annabeth, Landyn, Lilliann, Lyndee, and Maddox; sister, Sue Dudek of Mangum, Oklahoma; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents (Elmo and Gladys Petzold).
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Donald Montgomery officiating. Interment will be Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at the Custer Herron Cemetery in Henderson, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be T.J. Hickman, Chance Hickman, Tyler Landreth, Chad Crider, Jason Harber, and Lance Harber. Memorials may be given to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
