Opal (Lewis) Willis, 94, of Camp, Arkansas, passed away from this life on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, in Camp, Arkansas. Opal was born June 25, 1928, in Potts Camp, Mississippi to Mr. Lewis and Nettie Jewel (Benton) Lewis.
Opal was married to Linwood Ashton Willis in DeSoto County, Mississippi on November 16, 1949. Opal spent twenty-five years working as an assembly line worker with Tri County Shirt Company as well as working as a seamstress at home. Opal loved crocheting, quilting, and was a member of the Heart Quilters Club. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, aunt, friend, and was of the Church of Christ faith.
Opal leaves to mourn her passing, daughter, Cheryl Denise Kusmierz (John) of San Antonio, Texas; son, Carl Schaeffer Willis of Camp, Arkansas; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband (Linwood Ashton Willis, Sr.), parents, two sons (Linwood and Clement), sister (Dixie Harrison), and brother (Ray Lewis).
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. Phil Huggins officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday, November 4, 2022, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. Interment will be in the Burks Chapel Cemetery in Camp, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Carl Willis, Dewayne Albright, Joe Burk, Donnie Reynolds, Bill Reynolds, and J.J. Kusmierz. Memorial may be made to the Burks Chapel Cemetery Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home, LLC in Salem, Arkansas.
