Norma Jean Godwin

Norma Jean (Little) Godwin, 82, of Ash Flat, Arkansas passed away Thursday, October   
12, 2023, at Salem, Arkansas. Norma was born May 4, 1941, to John Little and Verna   
Lee (Shaw) Little in Gideon, Missouri.  
  
Norma was united in marriage to James Winchester Godwin on September 13, 1997, in   
Campbell, Missouri. Norma spent her working years as a caregiver at group homes for   
disabled children. She loved her family dearly and was a member of the Crossroads   
Baptist Church in Ash Flat, Arkansas. Some of her favorite activities were cooking,   
fishing, traveling, and just being active. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother,   
grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, and friend.   
 
She leaves to mourn her passing: husband, Jim Godwin of the home; two daughters,   
Deonna Hampton and husband Joey of Marianna, Florida and Carla Richardson and   
husband Don of Troy, Missouri; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; two   
great great grandchildren; two brothers, Timmy Little of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and   
David Little of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; sister, Misti Reynolds of Rock Island,   
Tennessee; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death  
by her son (Carl  Howard Hooser, Jr.), parents (John Little, Verna and Cleo Pattillo),  
first husband  (Carl Hooser, Sr.), step mother (Patty Little), baby sister (Sheila Little) and brother (Bob Little).   
 
Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Barker Funeral   
Home in Salem, Arkansas, with Bro. Henry Parker officiating. Memorials may be made   
to Bradshaw Cemetery in Malden, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of   
Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
