Marvelee Joyce Henley, age 85, of Jonesboro, Arkansas was born on August 31, 1932 in Sulphur Rock, Arkansas, daughter of Marvin Glen and Malinda Pearl (Bundy) Crabtree. She departed this life on Thursday, October 19, 2017 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Marvelee was united in marriage to James Ellsworth Henley and to this union 4 children were born. She spent her working years as owner/operator of Henley Furniture Store in Salem, Arkansas. She lived in Salem, Arkansas for over 30 years before moving to Jonesboro where she lived for the last few years. She dedicated her life to caring for her children and grandchildren and gave selflessly of her time, love and patience to her family and the church. She was a member of the Salem Church of Christ. Marvelee is survived by her son, Rick Henley of Jonesboro, Arkansas; 2 daughters, Leisa Caldwell and son-in-law Steve of Boise, Idaho and Linda Tillman and son-in-law Don of Ooltewah, Tennessee; 7 grandchildren, Stacey Harris, Carrie Elam, Eric Henley, Lauren Rudd, Lendl Caldwell, Brittany Turner and Logan Henley; 11 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Henley, son, Jimmy Henley, parents, Marvin and Pearl Crabtree, granddaughter, Gina Henley, grandson, Landon Caldwell, granddaughter, Kristi King and an infant sister. Graveside services will be Monday, October 23, 2017, 1:00 PM at Center Grove Cemetery at Charlotte, Arkansas with Bro. David Gibson officiating. Memorials may be made to the Salem Church of Christ Library Fund or Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House, 1148 East Matthews, Jonesboro, Arkansas, 72401.
