Linda Mae Dean, 68, of Viola, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at her home in Viola, Arkansas. Linda was born to Hulen Dennis Johnson and Dessie Lee (Roberson) Johnson on December 30, 1954, in Pocahontas, Arkansas.
Linda worked as a caregiver for White River Agency on Aging. Linda enjoyed her family, being outdoors, working in the yard and with her flowers, and going to the casino. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Linda leaves to mourn her passing, companion, Larry Joe Dean of the home in Viola, Arkansas; son, David Wesley Mitchell (Jennifer) of Fayetteville, Arkansas and son in law, James Howell of Viola, Arkansas; two daughters, Meghan LeAnn Howell of Viola, Arkansas and Heather Gail Marberry (Brock) of Flippin, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren, Mckenzie Mitchell, Aidan Mitchell, Aria Mitchell, Brayden Marberry, Haley Marberry, Braxton Howell, Audrie Comstock, Jonathan Rorex, Jordan Thompson, Tel Britton, and Makenzie Jones; two brothers, Tommy Johnson (Carol Ann) of Black Rock, Arkansas, and Kenny Johnson (Debbie) of Pocahontas, Arkansas; two sisters, Becky Brown of Pocahontas, Arkansas and Barbara Sullinger of Vilonia, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents (Hulen and Dessie Johnson), two brothers (Leon Johnson and Rick Johnson), and two sisters (Janice Kay Ruble and Anna Hamilton).
A celebration of life will be held at a later time. Memorials may be given to a charity of choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
