Lee Broyles

December 28, 1965 — May 20, 2024

Glencoe

Lee Broyles, 58, of Glencoe, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024, in Springfield, Missouri. Lee was born to J. W. and Mickey Broyles on December 28, 1965, in Louisville, Kentucky.

Lee spent his working years as an over the road trucker, having been in every state, Canada, and Mexico. After his retirement from trucking, he was a Correctional Officer for the Arkansas Department of Corrections, he retired a Firefighter with the Salem Fire Department, and worked as a mechanic for Leon and Michelle Lundry at Leon’s Automotive. Lee was an accomplished mechanic and knew Chevy small block engines inside and out. His talents weren’t just engines, he had a natural intuition for anything mechanical. He could repair anything from a lawn mower to a washing machine to a diesel tractor. Lee had many interests. Tools were probably at the top of the list. His toolbox was always organized, everything in its place. If you got something out of his toolbox, you better put it back where it went! He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.

Lee leaves to mourn his passing, two sons, John Broyles and wife Wendi of Swifton, Arkansas and Casey Broyles of Salem, Arkansas; two granddaughters, Mila and Olivia Broyles of Swifton, Arkansas; two brothers, Jim Broyles and wife Devona of Salem, Arkansas and Ed Broyles and wife Karen of Olathe, Kansas; Christina Broyles of Glencoe, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents (J.W. and Mickey Broyles), half-brother (Glenn Broyles), and half-sister (Dovie Rose Grund).

Graveside funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 24, 2024, at Salem Cemetery in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. Josh Pardue officiating.
