Kennard Carrol Guffey

Kennard Carrol Guffey, 71, departed this life on February 5, 2022, at Salem, Arkansas.  Kennard was born in Viola, Arkansas on November 28, 1950, to Henry Kay Guffey and Erple Lorene (Blair) Guffey.  

Kennard was united in marriage to Jane Ann Stone on February 11, 1977, in Salem, Arkansas. Kennard spent his working years at Richards Brothers in West Plains, Missouri, as owner/operator of Salem Feed Mill in Salem, Arkansas, and as a farmer. He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his children and grandchildren playing ball and other events they were involved in.  He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, friend, and was of Christian faith.

Kennard leaves to mourn his passing; three sons, Mark Guffey and wife Cristy of Salem, Arkansas, Keith Guffey and wife Mindy of Salem, Arkansas, and J.T. Guffey and wife Crystal of Pflugerville, Texas; seven grandchildren, Tyler, Matthew, Hannah, Owen, Brianna, Brooklyn, and Bryant; three sisters, Earlene Raymond and husband Don of Frenchville, Maine, Brenda Kay Criswell and husband Glen of Mt. View, Arkansas, and Debbie Guffey of Viola, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife (Jane Guffey), parents, and two brothers (Kenneth Guffey and Duane Guffey).

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Salem First Baptist Church in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. John Hodges officiating.  Visitation will be 10:00 AM until time-of-service Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Salem First Baptist Church in Salem, Arkansas.  Interment will be in the Stateline Cemetery in Moko, Arkansas.  Pallbearers will be Chris Clements, Donald Clements, Jon Jones, Jon McHenry, Chad Sellers, Tony Kerley, Jason Miller, and Michael Bassham.  Honorary pallbearers are Leonard Clements, Ray Stone, Don Raymond, Glen Criswell, Jesse Oaks, and Gary Ferguson.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Stateline Cemetery Association.  Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home LLC of Salem, Arkansas.
