Julia Faye Hollis, age 87, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas was born on April 18, 1930 in Mountain View, Oklahoma, daughter of Lester Howard and Estelle (McGuire) Youngblood. She departed this life on Sunday, July 9, 2017 in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas. Julia married Ray Kenneth Hollis, Sr. on March 27, 1947 in Reno, Nevada and to this union two sons were born. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Julia was a homemaker and was a member of the Salem Church of Christ. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Red Hatters, Ladies National F.W.C., Sorosis Club and served as a Girl Scout Leader. Julia is survived by her two sons, Ray Hollis, Jr. (Jo) of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas and Phil Hollis, Sr. of Camp, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Ray Hollis III (Valerie Fowler), Sara Tanner (Gary), Rebekah Guiltner (Wayne) , Julia Steward (Jesse), Phillip Hollis, Jr. and Frances Andrews; twelve great grandchildren, Paige Hollis, Ryan Hollis, Matthew Tanner, Lucas Tanner, Allyson Tanner, Gavin Guiltner, Hank Guiltner, Dalton Steward, Colton Steward, Taylor Andrews, Faith Andrews and Kaiden Hollis; many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers (Howard Youngblood,Jr., Joe Youngblood and Kenneth Youngblood) and sister (Gyn Shotwell). Memorial Services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday July 19, 2017 at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
