Josephine Richard,76, of Camp, Arkansas, passed from this life on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Camp, Arkansas. Josephine was born December 26, 1945, to Edward Lejeune and Louise (Hines) Lejeune in Gueydan, Louisiana.

Josephine was united in marriage to Ernest Richard in Gueydan, Louisiana. Josephine spent her working years on an assembly line in a sewing factory. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, friend, and was of the Catholic faith.

Josephine leaves to mourn her passing, four children, Robert Richard of Camp, Arkansas, Joey Richard of Salem, Arkansas, Ida Chute of Camp, Arkansas, and Anna Richard of West Plains, Missouri; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two brothers, Henry Lejeune of Overland, Louisiana and John Charles Lejeune of Jennings, Louisiana; sister, Gracie Hamilton of Moss Ruff, Louisiana; many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at the Matthews & Son Funeral Home in Gueydan, Louisiana. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at the Matthews & Son Funeral Home in Gueydan, Louisiana. Interment will be Wednesday, September 7, 2022, in the Gueydan Cemetery in Gueydan, Louisiana.  Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home, LLC in Salem, Arkansas and Matthews & Son Funeral Home in Gueydan, Louisiana.
