Joseph “Joey” Dee Gaskins, 34, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, departed this life on July 28, 2022, in Cherokee Village, Arkansas. Joey was born to Jeffrey Scott Gaskins and Jonya “Joni” Dee (Henry) Gaskins on December 16, 1987, in Batesville, Arkansas.
Joey was united into marriage to Amy Kathryn Barnes on June 10, 2022, in Cherokee Village, Arkansas. Joey loved his wife Amy Kathryn and though their love was brief it was a once in a lifetime kind of love! Joey spent his working years as a carpenter and worked alongside his father, uncle, and friend Matty. Joey was a graduate of John 3:16 Ministries and after graduation, his priority was to help the next man. Joey was a member of the Abundant Life Church in Cherokee Village, Arkansas where he led Sunday Night Bible Study. His bond with Chloe led them to become best friends and he was privileged to lead Jackson to the Lord. His joy was coaching his son, nephew, and the rest of the boys in baseball and football for many years. Joey doted on his daughter Gabby, who was daddy’s girl, and their bond was indescribable. He was so proud of his son Dylan and the young man he was becoming. He wanted nothing more than to see him chase his dreams. He loved his new bonus babies Grayson and SK as well as many other “adopted kiddos”. He was passionate about leading this next generation to the Lord. Joey was a kind, modest, and humble man who loved his Jesus. His smile lit up the room and he was an atmosphere changer. He strived to walk out Philippians 4:8. No one loved like Jo Jo! He was always the center of any gathering and had a magnetic personality that drew you in. He was passionate about his friends and the people he loved and loved with his whole heart. Joey was a Momma’s boy. He loved his momma and shared her wittiness, sense of humor, and cooking skills. His family was his life. He deeply loved his wife, children, parents, siblings, nieces & nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. And he knew his Nanny loved him most
