Joan Estelle Snodgrass

Joan Estelle Snodgrass, 82, of Oxford, Arkansas, passed away from this life on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Batesville, Arkansas.  Joan was born December 11, 1940, in St. Louis, Missouri to Charles Stief and Ruby (Witt) Stief. 

 Joan married John Snodgrass on October 26, 1984, in Jasper, Texas. Joan was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Joan loved her dogs, karaoke, cards, bingo, dancing, and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post #9777 in Salem, Arkansas. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, aunt, and friend.  

Joan leaves to mourn her passing, four sons, Don Springstun (Cathy) of DeRidder, Louisiana, Daniel Springstun of Salem, Arkansas, David Springstun (Christina) of Ormond Beach, Florida, and Darren Springstun (Christy) of Salem, Arkansas; two daughters, Donna Ashworth (Bentley) of Violet Hill, Arkansas and Diana Lejeune of Oxford, Arkansas; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; two sisters, Marie Martin of Granite City, Illinois and Mickey Davenport (Bruce) of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters (Rosalee Miller and Janet Dixon), and two brothers (Dan Stief and Charles Witt).  

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 31, 2022, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. John Hodges officiating.  Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 31, 2022, at Barker Funeral Home. The interment will be in the Violet Hill Cemetery in Violet Hill, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Darren Springstun, Dryver Springstun, Avery Lejeune, David Springstun, Vaughn Richard, and Bryan Gryder. Honorary pallbearers will be Randall Springstun, Zach Morehead, Bentley Ashworth, and Tylor Springstun. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home, LLC in Salem, Arkansas.
