Jewell Marie (Dillard) Story, 88, of Bradenton, Florida passed from this life on Saturday, July 18, 2020 in Bradenton, Florida. Jewell was born June 7, 1932 to the late Ernest Earl Dillard and Lela (Simmons) Dillard in Oxford, Arkansas.
Jewell married Lowell Gene Story on June 2, 1951 at Melbourne, Arkansas and to this union seven children were born. Jewell spent her working years as a secretary and registrar and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Jewell's passion was service to others. She was a great cook and loved to share her talents with family, friends, missionaries, strangers and anyone that was in need of a meal. Jewell was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and friend.
Jewell is survived by 2 sons, Joseph Kelly Story (Marlene) of South Jordan, Utah and Theran Breck Story (Kate) of Conway, Arkansas; 5 daughters, Chrys Daniel of Bradenton, Florida, Kathy Reams (Bob) of Sarasota, Florida, Debbie Bigler (Willie) of Mesa, Arizona, Gigi Nielson (Dale) of Snowflake, Arizona and Leslie Sharp (Roger) of Mesa, Arizona; 26 grandchildren, Bo Anderson (Jillian), Lucas Anderson (Sue), Alison DePatie (Todd), Melanie Anderson (Kostas), Melissa Anderson, Dennis Smith (Bond), Lathe Bigler, Brannon Bigler (Leslie), Tyler Bigler (Ally), Ryan Bigler (Kimmie), Danielle Rogers (Conley), Micah Breckenridge (Aaron), Jens Nielson (Tara), Parker Nielson, Maddie Kaufusi (Folau), Krista Christensen (Cory), Caleb Story (Alanna), Jenna McCoy (Mike), Ellie Jeppsen (Greg), Jake Story (Tori), Raquel Flax (Harold), Breck Story (Brielle), Desiree Story, Darienne Story, Heather Winter (Paul) and Michelle Westin (Mike); 57 great grandchildren and 4 more on the way; great great grandchild, Bryndle Anderson; brother, Sam Dillard (Reba) of Smiths Grove, Kentucky; sons-in -law, Ken Anderson and Marty Daniel; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jewell is preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister (Millie Helm) and 2 brothers (James Dillard and Carroll Dillard).
Graveside services will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, July 24, 2020 at the Oxford Cemetery in Oxford, Arkansas. Interment will be in the Oxford Cemetery in Oxford, Arkansas. Honorary pallbearers are the grandsons. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
