Jeanie (Peacock) Durden, 75, of Salem, Arkansas departed this life on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 in Salem, Arkansas. She was born to the late Paul Silas Peacock and Clare Montee E. (Youngblood) Peacock on June 21, 1942 in Dermott, Arkansas.
Jeanie was united in marriage to Farrell Lee Durden on June 7, 1981 in Marion, Arkansas. Jeanie was a homemaker and was a member of the Saddle Baptist Church in Saddle, Arkansas. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother..
She leaves to mourn her passing; son, Jackie Barley of Grenada, Mississippi; stepson, Billy Durden of Terrell, Arkansas; daughter, Gorma McBride of Walnut Hill, Florida; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; five brothers, Henry White, Gordon White, Kim Peacock, John Peacock and Tracy Peacock; four sisters, Nattie White, Gloria White, Barbara Peacock and Renee Peacock; friends, Dale and Flossie Thompson; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and stepson (Darrell Durden).
Memorial services will be 4:00 P.M. Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Saddle Baptist Church in Saddle, Arkansas with Bro.Jackie Dockins officiating. Memorials may be made to Saddle Baptist Church (8689 Heart Rd., Mammoth Spring, Arkansas) or Arkansas Mission of Mercy. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
