Janelle Iona (Walker) Wray

Janelle Iona (Walker) Wray, 67, of Union, Arkansas, passed away from this life on Friday, December 16, 2022, at Salem, Arkansas. Janelle was born March 9, 1955, in Batesville, Arkansas to George Thorton Walker and Myrna Eileen (Hines) Walker. 

Janelle was united in marriage to Vernon Dwayne Wray on June 25, 1985, in Salem, Arkansas and to this union a daughter was born. Janelle spent her working years in housekeeping at the Fulton County Hospital. She loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed crocheting. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend.  

Janelle leaves to mourn her passing, husband, Dwayne Wray of the home in Union, Arkansas; daughter, Heather Wray of Mountain Home, Arkansas; three sisters, Cheryl Watkins of Rison, Arkansas, Linda Moore and husband Vernon of Berryville, Arkansas, and Lorna Lee and husband Tim of Hardy, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents (George and Myrna Walker), brother (Randy Walker), and sister (Shona Woods).  

Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M., Monday, December 19, 2022, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. John Hodges, Logan Morgan, and Devin Morgan officiating.  Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 P.M. Sunday, December 18, 2022, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.  The interment will be in the Union Cemetery in Union, Arkansas.  The pallbearers will be Tim Hatman, Jason Hatman, Chris Watkins, Kevin Watkins, Scott Dunn, David Wray, and Walker Lee.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home, LLC in Salem, Arkansas.
