James Lewis Vaughn, 82, of Salem, Arkansas, passed from this life on Sunday, May 29, 2022, at Salem, Arkansas. James was born May 6, 1940, in Koshkonong, Missouri, to the late Fred Lewis Vaughn and Fern (Willbanks) Vaughn.
James spent his working years running an auto salvage yard. James enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, playing pool and poker, old car shows, and spending time with his family. James was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather, uncle, friend, and was of the Baptist faith.
James leaves to mourn his passing, wife, Cindy Boehm of Salem, Arkansas; three sons, James Lee Vaughn (Tena) of Salem, Arkansas, Ronnie Vaughn (Karen) of West Plains, Missouri, and Reggie Vaughn (Jammie) of Pomona, Missouri; four daughters, Debbie Campbell of Lanton, Missouri, Jamie Birmingham (Josh) of Salem, Arkansas, Jessica Woods (Russell) of Salem, Arkansas, and Megan Williams of Salem, Arkansas; fifteen grandchildren, Damian, Dustin, Stacey, William, Devin, Britney, Erica, Lexie, Brandon, Layten, Ethan, Austin, Nolan, Ryan, and Gracie; twenty three great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; two sisters, Emma Justus of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas and Carolyn Sue Hodges (JD) of Salem, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents (Fred and Fern Vaughn) and brother-in-law (Johnie Justus).
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 3, 2022, at the Salem First Baptist Church in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. until time of service on Friday, June 3, 2022, at the Salem First Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Hatfield Cemetery in Koshkonong, Missouri. Pallbearers will be Damian Vaughn, Dustin Vaughn, Devin Vaughn, Brandon Campbell, Layten Birmingham, Ethan Birmingham, Austin Bassham, and Nolan Bassham. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Emery and Butch Ellison. Memorials may be made to the Hatfield Cemetery in care of FNBC at West Plains, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
