Glendel Ray Sexton, 75, of Bexar, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Jonesboro, Arkansas. Glendel was born in Bexar, Arkansas on July 25, 1948, the youngest of eight children born to James Oscar Sexton and Rener (Boatman) Sexton.
For secular work Glendel enjoyed his days as a truck driver and logging in the woods with his brother Frank and his son A. J.. Glen liked spending his days woodworking, having cookouts, hunting, riding his motorcycle, venturing through the woods with his grandsons, and spending time with his family and friends. Glen also loved his dog Lil Bit.
Glendel is survived by his five children, A. J. and wife Sarah of Viola, Arkansas, Derek of Bexar, Arkansas, April and husband Chris of Boring, Oregon, Tawnya of Bexar, Arkansas, and Angie and husband Donald of Vancouver, Washington; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, and his fiancé Linda. He is preceded in death by his wife (Delores Geneva Sexton), son (Glen “Little Glen” Sexton), parents, five brothers (Floyd, Loyd, Lester, James, and Johnny), two sisters (Pauline and Irene), and two half-sisters (Eunice and Euval).
A Memorial/Celebration of Life services will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Jeff Braim officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Trenton Sexton, Kevin Sweetin, Nathaniel Lamb, Danny Parson, Brody Denton, Bill DeWitt, Robert Stark, Mikey Nordman, Sean Wright, and William Langle. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
