Georgia Irene (Boothe) McCullough Shepherd

Georgia Irene (Boothe) McCullough Shepherd, departed her earthly home January 29, 2022, at Salem, Arkansas, at the age of 96 years and 4 months. Georgia was born September 25, 1925, at Ash Flat, Arkansas. Her parents were James and Flossie (Jones) Boothe.

Georgia married Arlin McCullough on June 3, 1944, at Salem, Arkansas. She later married George Shepherd on February 14, 1992, at Salem, Arkansas. She spent her early years when times were difficult for many farm families. She always set an example all throughout her life of hard work. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, friend and was a member of the Salem First Baptist Church in Salem, Arkansas.

Georgia is survived by three daughters, Mary Layman and husband Charles of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, Gail Pruitt and husband Mike of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, and Deborah Bost and husband Dennie of Salem, Arkansas: daughter-in-law, Geneva (Keeton) McCullough, of Ava, Missouri. She leaves a legacy of eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren. In addition, she leaves to mourn her blended family (all the Shepherd family). She is preceded in death by her husbands (Arlin on October 31, 1986, and George on May 26, 2001, son (Lowell McCullough), parents, sister (Jamie Boothe Pruitt), and older brother (Euwin Boothe).

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at the Salem First Baptist Church in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Interment will be in the Salem, Cemetery in Salem, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Aaron Bost, Dennis Moss, Kelly Bullock, James Perkins, Clayton Everett, and Kenny McCullough. Memorials may be made to the Salem Cemetery Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home LLC of Salem, Arkansas.
