Gaye Perryman Miller

Gaye Perryman Miller, 83, of Salem, Arkansas passed away from this life on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Salem, Arkansas. Gaye was born December 23, 1940, in Salem, Arkansas to Henry Jefferson Perryman and Sarah Mabel (Shell) Perryman. 

Gaye was united in marriage to Charles Martin Miller on December 8, 1973, in Salem, Arkansas. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, friend, and was a member of the Salem First Baptist Church in Salem, Arkansas. 

Gaye leaves to mourn her passing, six sons, Bradley Patrick Hodges (Karen) of Lenexa, Kansas, Horace Jeffery Hodges (Sun-Ae Hwang) of Seoul, South Korea, Timothy Harlin Hodges (Tammy) of Salem, Arkansas, Joseph Shannon Hodges (Shoshanna Cogan) of Brisbane, Australia, John Perryman Hodges (Sandy) of Salem, Arkansas, and Matthew Charles Miller (Christy) of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; sixteen grandchildren, Courtney Hodges Ramlow (Paul) of Overland Park, Kansas, Andrew Jeremy Hodges (Marissa) of Lake Elmo, Minnesota, Jae-Uk Hwang (Emily) of East Hampton, New York, En-Uk Hwang of Seoul, South Korea, Justin Lee Hodges (Annalee) of Bentonville, Arkansas, Christopher Henry Hodges of Springfield, Missouri, Stephen White (Carrie) of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, Trent White (Kristen) of Thayer, Missouri, Blake Friel (Sindy) of Thayer, Missouri, Joshawa David Hodges (Carrie) of Pflugerville, Texas, Crystal Marie Hodges Guffey (Josh) of Pflugerville, Texas, Rebecca Grace Miller of Kansas City, Missouri, Laura Faith Miller of Lanton, Missouri, Marcus McCauley (Brandy) of Sikeston, Missouri, Justin McCauley (Ashley) of West Plains, Missouri, and Kye Collins of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; twenty one great grandchildren, Taryn Ramlow, Rory Hodges, Isla Hodges, Callum Hodges, Ezra Hodges, Eleanor Hodges, Cole White, Joselin White, Aubrey White, Braelyn Eckman, Brooklyn White, Brenner White, Zaylie Friel, Jolee Friel, Finnegan Hodges, Piper Hodges, Brianna Guffey, Brooklyn Guffey, Bryant Guffey, Mia McCauley, and Connor McCauley; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband (Charles Miller, parents (Henry and Mabel Perryman), and siblings, (Harlin Jackson Perryman (Betty), Marx Henry Perryman, Ava Jo Perryman Bowling (Clarence), and Hala Kathryn Perryman Ferguson (Leon). 

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Salem First Baptist Church in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. John Hodges, Dr. David Kauffman, and Tim Hodges officiating. Interment will be Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Salem Cemetery in Salem, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Justin Hodges, Christopher Hodges, Paul Ramlow, Andrew Hodges, Joshawa Hodges, and Josh Guffey. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Ferguson, Sara Bowling, Randy Fowler, Dr. David Kauffman, Darla York, and Karroll Fowlkes. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salem First Baptist Church in Salem, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
