Gary Lynn Jackson

Gary Lynn Jackson went home to Jesus on February 23, 2025, at the age of 65 years. Gary was born to Lloyd and Darlene (Hackney) Jackson on December 14, 1959, in Salem, Arkansas. 

He was the beloved companion of Jamie Miller of Salem, Arkansas. Father of Shalie Michelle Jackson of Rosepine, LA; grandfather of Mia, DeSean, Camille, Maliyah, Nina, Greyson, and Kyhl; brother of Calvin Jackson of Oxford, Arkansas, Kathy Burch of Salem, Arkansas, Angela Jackson (Russ) of Salem, Arkansas, Carolyn (Larry) Rhynes of Ash Flat, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends. Gary was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Jackson. 

Gary was of the Baptist Faith. He lived the majority of his adult life in Houston, Texas where his career was in the trucking industry. He returned to Arkansas in December of 2013. Gary had the heart of a lion. He was courageous, compassionate and loving. He was always available to help family and friends, alike. He will be greatly missed but his memory will live on.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
