Gary Wayne Branscum

Gary Wayne Branscum, 70, of Salem, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Salem, Arkansas. Gary was born July 17, 1954, in Ash Flat, Arkansas to George Garland Branscum and Ella Pauline (Nix) Branscum. 

Gary was united in marriage to Lenisa Gay Ward on December 4, 1981, in Salem, Arkansas. Gary spent 34 years working as a contract mail carrier for the United Postal Service. Gary loved his family, friends, hunting, and fishing. Gary enjoyed playing ball, going and watching the boys play ball, anything that Gatlin wanted to do, and was a classic joke teller. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, friend, and was a member of the Salem First Baptist Church in Salem, Arkansas. 

Gary leaves to mourn his passing, wife, Lenisa Branscum of Salem, Arkansas; two sons, Justin Branscum of Salem, Arkansas and Zach Branscum of Salem, Arkansas; bonus son, Bryan Manes and wife Jamie of Mt. Home, Arkansas; grandson, Gatlin Ward Branscum of Salem, Arkansas; brother, Raymond Branscum of Ash Flat, Arkansas; sister, Carolyn Sisney of Ash Flat, Arkansas; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. 

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, October 18, 2024, at Salem First Baptist Church in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 PM, Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. Interment will be Friday, October 18, 2024, at Salem Cemetery in Salem, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Justin Branscum, Zach Branscum, Gatlin Ward Branscum, Bryan Manes, Jamie Robbins, Josh Nelson, Kyle Ward, and Austin Robbins. Honorary pallbearers will be Thadnel Willett, Sonny Bray, Jim Clayton, Kim York, Devin Bozeman, Trapper York, Frog Robbins, Dale Ivey, Larry Turner, Roy Cunningham, Randall Harris, Greg Jackson, Stacey Robbins, Michelle Ward, and Ronda Moss.
