Garold (Butch) Dallas Blair, age 70, of Salem, Arkansas was born on July 13, 1947 in Elizabeth, Arkansas, son of Dallas Harold and Lois (Ross) Blair. He departed this life on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 in Salem, Arkansas. Butch was united in marriage to Patricia Lynn Villneff on August 5, 1967 in Lawton, Oklahoma and to this union two children were born. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He spent his working years as a patrolman for the City of Salem. He served as a State Constable and with the Salem Volunteer Fire Department and First Responders. He enjoyed working as a gunsmith and helped organize the Cowboy Action Shooting Club. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. Butch was a member of Immanuel Southern Baptist Church of Salem, Arkansas. Butch is survived by his wife, Pat Blair of Salem, Arkansas; son, Craig Blair and wife Ann of Valparaiso, Indiana; daughter, Shelly Monahan of East Dubuque, Illinois; sister, Wanda Sue Gratton and husband John of Kansas City, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Christian Blair, Connor Blair, Calynn Tipton (Tommy), Camden Blair, Erin Monahan, Kyle Monahan, Nikki Duncan and Hannah Duncan; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers (Mansil Blair and Chuck Blair) and sister (Lula Faye Blair). Memorial Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Immanuel Southern Baptist Church in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. Alan Winberry officiating. Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Foundation. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
