Gale Dean Kersey

Gale Dean Kersey, 86, of Glencoe, Arkansas passed from this life on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 in Glencoe, Arkansas. Gale was born July 18, 1935, to the late Arthur Kersey and Sarah (Shaw) Kersey in Morriston, Arkansas.

Gale was united in marriage to Joy Faye Tucker on September 12, 1954, in Salem, Arkansas and to this union two children were born. Gale spent his working years as an insurance agent.  Gale loved hunting, fishing, reading, and spending time with his family.  Gale was a member of the Salem Church of Christ in Salem, Arkansas. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend.

Gale is survived by his son, Michael Dean Kersey and wife Lacinda of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; daughter, Joy Michelle Betts and husband Rodney of Collierville, Tennessee; six grandchildren, Kimberly Owsley and husband Thomas, Kinsey McCutchen and husband Jake, Sarah Cochran and husband Kib, Katie Norrid and husband Kyle, Katylyn Aboukheir and husband Rabih, and Kamille Martin and husband Brennon; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife (Joy Kersey), parents (Arthur and Sarah Kersey), and five brothers (Oliver, George, Jimmy, Dale, and Olan).

Memorial Services for Gale Kersey will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021, 11:00 AM, at Salem Church of Christ in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. David Gibson and Bro. Mike Yates officiating.  Visitation will be 10:00 A.M. until time of service on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at the Salem Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers memorial may be given to the Agape Food Room at the Salem Church of Christ. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
