Freddy Gene Newman

Freddy Gene Newman, 67, of Salem, Arkansas departed this life on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Salem, Arkansas. He was born to the late Joe Treno Newman and Cloris Idean (Dewitt) Newman on February 28, 1952 in Byron, Arkansas.                  

Freddy was united in marriage to Geneva Barlow on February 28, 1999 in Byron, Arkansas. Freddy spent his working years as a carpenter. Freddy was loved by many nieces and nephews and was a loving son, brother, husband, uncle and friend.

Freddy leaves to mourn his passing; three brothers, Bobby Newman and wife Jane of Byron, Arkansas, Billy “Goose” Newman of Salem, Arkansas and Tommy Newman and wife Peggy of Byron, Arkansas; two sisters, Denice Innis and husband Mike of Salem, Arkansas and Carol Green and husband Tim of Oakland, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife and parents.

Family will have a gathering 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Byron Community building in Byron, Arkansas. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
