Frances Eileen (Baker) Wade

Frances Eileen (Baker) Wade, 93, of Viola, Arkansas, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, in Salem, Arkansas. Eileen was born to William Frank Baker and Alice Lorene (Meuth) Baker on July 23, 1930, in Hawk Point, Missouri. 
 
Eileen was united in marriage to Raymond Edward Wade on December 19, 1953, in St. Charles Missouri, after they met while working at McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis. Eileen spent her working years as a homemaker. Eileen and Ray never had children of their own, but they loved children and raised several foster children. Eileen loved water skiing, playing cards, flowers, music, and spending time with family. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, aunt, friend, and was a member of the St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Mountain Home, Arkansas. 

Eileen leaves to mourn her passing, brother, Richard Baker of St. Louis, Missouri and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband (Ray Wade), parents (Frank and Alice Baker), four brothers (John Baker, Robert Baker, George Baker, and William Baker), and four sisters (Mary Catherine Baker, Lenora Vaughn, Alice Throckmorton, and Betty Riden). 

Graveside services will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Bakersfield Cemetery in Bakersfield, Missouri with Bro. Wayne Stewart officiating. Interment will be in the Bakersfield Cemetery in Bakersfield, Missouri. Memorials may be made to Paragould Childrens Home in Paragould, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
