Everett Amos Bledsoe, Sr., 83, of Salem, Arkansas departed this life on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 in Salem, Arkansas. Everett was born to the late Henry Leslie Bledsoe and Nettie (Wilson) Bledsoe on October 21, 1935 in Shell City, Missouri.
Everett was united in marriage to Marilyn Gail Weaver on April 5, 1985 in Hutchison, Kansas. Everett spent his working years as a landscaper and a car hauler. Everett loved playing cards and board games with family, being outside and restoring old cars. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, friend and was of the Baptist faith.
Everett leaves to mourn his passing; wife, Marilyn Bledsoe of Salem, Arkansas; two sons, Steve Bledsoe and wife Esther of Wichita, Kansas and Everett Bledsoe, Jr. of Wichita, Kansas; two step sons, Tony Tollison of St. Petersburg, Florida and Tim Miller of Wichita, Kansas; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; brother, Howard Bledsoe and wife Carol of Deboris , Pennsylvania; many nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters (Violet and Beulah) and five brothers (Gary, Robert, Ray, Don and Lee).
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. until time of service on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Barker Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Agnos Cemetery in Agnos, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Willis Phelps, Tim Miller, Bill Zulpo, Danny Phelps, Rocky Keirn and Ed Stephens. Memorials may be made to The Lord’s Dinner in Wichita, Kansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
