Elizabeth (Beth) Thompson Woodruff, 74, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas departed this life on Thursday, May 31, 2018 in Cherokee Village, Arkansas. She was born to the late Earl Howard Thompson and Bess (Hosmer) Thompson on September 7, 1943 in Memphis, Tennessee.

Beth was united in marriage to Clarence (Spud) Woodruff on February 6, 1967 in Jellico, Tennessee. Beth spent her working years as a secretary and was a member of the First Christian Church in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas and attended the Pleasants Christian Church in Rossville, Tennessee. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

She leaves to mourn her passing; two daughters, Betsy Johnston of Cherokee Village, Arkansas and Julie Schmidt and husband Frank of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; three granddaughters, Lauren Ray, Ellen Johnston and Sarah Hopper; three great grandchildren, Joshua Conway, Mason Ray and Emi Ray; sister, Mary Jane Cassandras and husband Pete of Lakeland, Tennessee; many other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband (Clarence “Spud” Woodruff), parents (Earl and Bess Thompson) and brother (Earl Thompson).

Graveside services will be 12:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Pleasants Cemetery in Rossville, Tennessee. Memorials may be made to the West Cancer Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
