Elaine Bearden Collins

Elaine Bearden Collins, 93, was born December 31, 1930, Center, AR in the house of her parents William (Bill) A. and Estie (Harrison) Bearden. Elaine died December 9, 2024, while a resident of Southfork River Nursing in, Salem, AR. Both parents are deceased. Brothers and sisters who preceded her in death are: Elwanda Bearden Curly, Billy Utah Bearden, Tommie Bearden Richardson, Donnie Karr Bearden, and Dennis A. Bearden. One sister who survived her is: Linda Kay Bearden Day of Opelika, AL On June 29, 1947, Elaine married Thomas Andrew (T.A.) Collins, Jr.(deceased)at Agnos, AR. From this marriage were born Steven Curtis Collins of Salem, AR (Fulton County) Dianna Lynn Collins Frets (deceased), Jimmy Edmond Collins of Horseshoe Bend, AR, and Leslie Dale Collins of Jacksonville, AR. Elaine is survived by three sons, eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and some great great grandchildren. 

Elaine was baptized into Jesus the Christ, at the Salem church of Christ, Salem, AR (Fulton County) circa 1957. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Salem. She was a member of Pyburn Street church of Christ in Pocahontas from 1965-2011, then the Ash Flat church of Christ for over twelve years. 

Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 21, 2024, at the Ash Flat Church of Christ in Ash Flat, Arkansas with Steve Collins officiating. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Children's Home Inc. in Paragould, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
