Edward Sutton, Jr.

Edward Sutton Jr., 83, of Glencoe, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024, in Glencoe, Arkansas. Ed was born to Edward James Sutton and Rosalea (Collins) Sutton on June 8, 1940, in Mountain View, Arkansas.  
 
Ed married Drenda Lee Gardner on December 17, 1982, at Newberry, South Carolina. Ed spent his working years as a Machine Mechanic for thirty years with Capital Mercury Company in Salem, Arkansas and then for thirteen years with the Eaton Corporation. Ed loved family, fishing, hunting, being in the woods, mushroom picking, and dancing. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, friend, and was of the Church of Christ faith. 

Ed leaves to mourn his passing, wife, Drenda Sutton of Glencoe, Arkansas; two sons, Gerald Sutton of Thola, Arkansas and Robert Morton (JoAnn) of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania; three daughters, Janet Sutton Snodgrass (Stan) of Greenville, Arkansas, Teresa Sutton Ashley (Brad) of Quincey, Illinois, and Dianna Morton Shehan of Mulberry, Pennsylvania; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Marjetta Brown of Mountain View, Arkansas and Dorothy Craig of Mountain View, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents (Edward and Rosalea Sutton), Francis Barham, Roberta Bransome, J. W. Sutton, Jerry Sutton, Lindall and Pat Sutton, Roy Brown, Don Craig, Tony Sutton, Steven Barham, and Howard and Rachel Sutton. 

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until time-of-service Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. The Pallbearers will be Al Roork, Brent Craig, Kenneth Sutton, James Green, Leslie Shutt, and Joseph Allen. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
