David Wayne Humphries

David Wayne Humphries, 65, of Sturkie, Arkansas, passed away from this life at Sturkie, Arkansas on Friday, July 21, 2023. David was born to parents George Rex and Betty Jo (Cunningham) Humphries on May 11, 1958, in Salem, Arkansas.  
 
David was united in marriage to Anna Jane Hutson on April 30, 1977, in Salem, Arkansas. David retired from North Arkansas Electric Cooperative after thirty-three years as a lineman. He loved his family and spoiling his girls. He enjoyed his time spent on the farm tending to his cattle and his cats and dogs. He also enjoyed traveling with family and was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. 
 
David leaves to mourn his passing, wife, Anna Humphries, of Sturkie, Arkansas; son, B.J. Humphries and wife Nicole of Bay, Arkansas; two daughters, Heather Parsons and husband Brandon of Brookland, Arkansas and Beth Humphries (Caysen Shaw) of Sturkie, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Samantha Parsons of Brookland, Arkansas, Alexis Parsons of Brookland, Arkansas, and Sarah Auten of  Mountain Home, Arkansas; sister, Ann Barnes and husband Gary of Liberty, Missouri; in-laws: James and Irene Hutson of Viola, Arkansas, Dwayne and Terry Hutson of Patton, Missouri, Vernon and Janie Hutson of Viola, Arkansas, and Judy Shrable of Viola, Arkansas; special friends, The Kinder Clan and Dennis and Sandy Perry; many other relatives and friends. 
 
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Monday, July 24, 2023, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas, with Bro. Tyler Fox officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday, July 23, 2023, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. Interment will be Monday, July 24, 2023, in the Gum Springs Cemetery in Viola, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Justin Shrable, Douglas Banasiak, Brad Hutson, John Garrison, Matthew Williams, Aaron Browning, James Garrison, and Jayme Hutson. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Cunningham, Paul Garrison, Toby Banasiak, Joe Hollabaugh, Audric Browning, Wayne Hutson, Dennis Perry, Alex Browning, Steve Garrison, and Dennis Kinder. Memorials may be made to the Gum Springs Cemetery Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
