Cleta Jeanette Southard

  Cleta Jeanette Southard, age 85, of Salem, Arkansas was born on January 6, 1932 in Day, Arkansas, daughter of Earl and Evalee (Shannon) Gleghorn. She departed this life on Friday, September 15, 2017 in Salem, Arkansas.   Cleta worked as a community outreach director for North Arkansas Development Council for thirty one years and was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.   Cleta is survived by two sons, Jackie Southard of Glencoe, Arkansas and Bob Southard and wife Cynthia of Camp, Arkansas; daughter, Dara Gaye Samuel and husband Thomas of Heber Springs, Arkansas; brother, J.L. Gleghorn and wife Linda of Independence, Missouri; Four sisters, Imogene Dobbins of Salem, Arkansas, Della Watson and husband Gene of West Plains, Missouri, Doris Ballard of Monette, Missouri and Geneith Batesel of Independence, Missouri; two grandchildren, Jamie Wilmeth of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Brent Southard of Camp, Arkansas; two great grandchildren, Kennedy Elizabeth Wilmeth of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Dru Wilmeth of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands (Hobart Southard in 1990 and Bryan Kent in 2016, parents, grandson (Jeffery Wade Southard in 2008) and sister (Reba Widener).   Graveside services will be 4:00 P.M. Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Agnos Cemetery in Agnos, Arkansas. Visitation will be 10:00 A.M. ~ 12:00 P.M. Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Barker Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Agnos Cemetery Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
