Charlotte Sue Smith

Charlotte Sue Smith, 81, of Salem, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Salem, Arkansas. Sue was born on April 8, 1943, in Salem, Arkansas, to John and Nora (Moore) Bell. 

Sue was united in marriage to James “Buster” Calvin Smith on April 10, 1960, in Salem, Arkansas and to this union four children were born. Sue spent her working years as the co-owner of C & S Printing and Trophies Galore. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren dearly and attended all their ballgames and other activities. She enjoyed wildflowers, cardinals, Christmas, and the Razorbacks. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, friend and was of the Christian faith. 

Sue leaves behind her husband, James “Buster” Calvin Smith of Salem, Arkansas; two sons, Craig Smith and wife Allison of Salem, Arkansas and Charlie Smith and wife Deanna of Thayer, Missouri; two daughters, Sonya Hall and husband Kim of Heart, Arkansas and Kim Smith and Brian of Salem, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Erica, Lairen, Colin, Kyndal, Suzonne, Chance, Kylie Bell, and Jordyn; six great grandchildren, Remi, Harper, Sloan, Bexley, Ava, and Finley; sister, Lynda Staudacher of Mountain Home, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents (John and Nora Bell), two brothers (Charles and Eddie), and sister (Carol). 

Memorial services will be 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. Arrangements are entrusted to Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
