Charles Everett Dodd Campbell

Charles Everett Dodd Campbell, 83, of Salem, Arkansas passed away from this life on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Salem, Arkansas. Charles was born September 25, 1940, to Snowey Everett Dodd and Lillie Ethel (Dale) Dodd in Viola, Arkansas.  
 
Charles spent his working years as a concrete worker, logger, and a carpenter. Charles loved his family, working, tending to his cattle, restoring old tractors, and was of the Baptist faith. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend.   
 
Charles leaves to mourn his passing: two daughters, Carol Brewer and husband Mark of Viola, Arkansas and Michelle Batterton of Viola, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Corey Brewer of Viola, Arkansas and Misha Rains and husband Lucas of Viola, Arkansas; five great grandchildren, Clint Brewer, Kadance Brewer, Rhett Brewer, Cainan Rains, and Campbell Rains; significant other, Bonnie Broughton of Salem, Arkansas; brother, Larry Dodd and wife Peggy of Batesville, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers (Mac Campbell and James Dodd), and two sisters (Kathleen Howell and Sally Ashley).   
  
Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday, October 23, 2023, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. Charles Blair officiating.   Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until time of service on Monday, October 23, 2023, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.  The interment will be in the Viola Cemetery in Viola, Arkansas.  The pallbearers will be Michael Howell, Lucas Rains, Joseph Roper, Corey Brewer, Stephen Bolka, Billy Taylor, and Leroy Moore.  Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Baker, Kermit Cotter, Roe Guffey, Vernon Hutson, and David Cowgill.  Memorials may be given to the Children’s Homes in Paragould, Arkansas.  Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
