Brenda (Hall) Smith

Brenda (Hall) Smith, 70, of Glencoe, Arkansas passed from this life on Thursday, February 17, 2022, in Salem, Arkansas. Brenda was born in Heart, Arkansas on August 8, 1951, to Carl Hall and Violet (Stroud) Hall.  

Brenda was united in marriage to Michael Dean Smith on October 13, 1978, in Heart, Arkansas and to this union two children were born. Brenda spent her working years working on the farm alongside her husband. She loved her family dearly and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, farming, fishing, and having a good argument. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, friend, and was of the Baptist faith.

Brenda leaves to mourn her passing; husband, Mike Smith of Glencoe, Arkansas; two sons, Josh Smith and wife Lena of Ash Flat, Arkansas and Jake Smith and Lindsey Smith of Ash Flat, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Olivia Smith, Alli Smith, Addi Smith, Caleb Smith, and Hoyt Smith; two brothers, Bruce Hall of Glencoe, Arkansas and Stanley Hall of Glencoe, Arkansas; aunt, Claudine Newberry and husband Leon of Salem, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents (Carl and Violet Hall) and sister-in-law (Lena Hall).

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 19, 2022, at the Burks Chapel Cemetery in Heart, Arkansas with Bro. Logan Welch officiating. Pallbearers will be Derek Hall, Cassie Hall, Dustin Hall, Martha Wood, C.D. Hall, and Sonny Bray. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home LLC of Salem, Arkansas.
