Betty Anna Lea (Reynolds) Hodges, 89, of Salem, Arkansas departed this life on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Springfield, Missouri. She was born to the late Ossie Alvin Reynolds and Lida Offie (Owens) Reynolds on March 13, 1929 in Elizabeth, Arkansas.
Anna Lea was united in marriage to George William “Bill” Hodges on September 26, 1946 in Salem, Arkansas and to this union four children were born. Anna Lea was a very strong woman, a great mother and loved raising dogs. Anna Lea was a member of the Quincy Missionary Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and friend.
Anna Lea leaves to mourn her passing; husband, George “Bill” Hodges of Salem, Arkansas; son, Charles William Hodges of Elizabeth, Arkansas; two daughters, Phyllis Comstock and husband Harold of Salem, Arkansas and Linda Hughes and husband Billy of Caulfield, Missouri; eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; twenty great great grandchildren; sister, Shirley Painter of West Plains, Missouri; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter (Terry Hodges), two brothers (Carroll Reynolds and Delma Lee Reynolds) and three sisters (Nadine Sanders, Lezene Morris and Patty Garrison).
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 15, 2019 at Elizabeth Cemetery in Elizabeth, Arkansas with Bro. Johnny Wayne Williams officiating. Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for children. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
