Bessie Sue Booth took the hand of Jesus, her Lord, December 31, 2024. She was born March 17, 1935, in Ash Flat, Arkansas to Till and Irene (Roberts) Bristow. 

She was united in Marriage to Calvin Curtis “Smokey” Booth on July 27, 1952, in Moko, Arkansas and to this union three children were born. She spent her working years as Housekeeping Supervisor at Fulton County Hospital. Her family was her life. She loved with an open, unconditional, unjudgmental love. She was an expert seamstress, crocheter, embroider, and craft creator. All self-taught and the most wonderful cook, feeding all with whom she came in contact. Famous chocolate fried pie maker, chocolate gravy, biscuit and gravy, and fried chicken!! She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandma, Maw Maw, aunt, friend, and was of the Pentecostal faith. Serving her Lord and Saviour from a young age. 

She leaves to mourn her passing son Stanley Booth; grands, Brandy (Sid), greats, Xander (Sedona), Leland, Jakob; grands, Nicole (James); greats, Dani; daughter, Vickie (Tom) Hardin; grands, Shawn (Morgan); Greats, Carly, Colby, Case; grands, Joshua (Melody); greats, Mattie, Kendel, Isaac; great great grand, Charlotte; daughter, Connie (Doug) Buss; brother, Junior (Naomi) Bristow; three sisters, Derlene Rogers, Donna (John) Ables, and Betty Goodman. She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 ½ years, mother and father, precious baby great grandson Thomas, brothers Gordan “Hoss” Bristow, Leonard “Bill” Bristow, Jimmy Dale Bristow, and one sister Minnie Lou Estes. 

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. until time of service Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Barker Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Stateline Cemetery at Moko, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grand sons, Shawn, Josh, Sid, James, Xander, and Isaac. Memorials may be made to Stateline Cemetery Association.  Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
