Raymond Lee Lejeune, 73, of Oxford, Arkansas passed from this life on Saturday, September 4, 2021, in Salem, Arkansas. Raymond was born November 21, 1947, in Gueydan, Louisiana, to the late Edward Lejeune and Louise (Hines) Lejeune.
Raymond spent many years working as a welder, diesel mechanic, and as a guide for duck hunting. He loved hunting, fishing, and cooking for the family. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, friend, and was of the Catholic faith.
Raymond leaves to mourn his passing, wife, Diana Lejeune of Oxford, Arkansas; three sons, T Ray Lejeune (Lisa) of Salem, Arkansas, Randy Springstun (Kim Hudson) of Salem, Arkansas, and Charles Beller (Yuka) of Heart, Arkansas; three daughters, Wendy Lejeune (Chad Langlinais) of Morse, Louisiana, Jacky Lejeune (Amos Holland) of Salem, Arkansas, and Angela Roberts of Brockwell, Arkansas; thirteen grandchildren, Jordon, Brittany, Cydney, Alexus, Avery, Wilbur, Aidan, Markis, Kendal, Yuki, Mia, Hunter, and Brittney; ten great grandchildren; two brothers, John Charles Lejeune of Jennings, Louisiana and Henry Lejeune (Loretta) of Iowa, Louisiana; two sisters, Josephine Richard of Salem, Arkansas and Grace Hamilton (Randy) of Moss Bluff, Louisiana; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his first wife (Renee Una “Reed” Lejeune), parents, brother (Eddie Lejeune), and three sisters (Pauline, Louisa May, and Louella).
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Salem First Baptist Church in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 A.M. until time of service of Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Salem First Baptist Church in Salem, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Darren Springstun, Dryver Springstun, Jordon Lejeune, James Lejeune, Hunter Hudson, and Mikey Lejeune. Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Game and Fish program “Mentored Youth Hunts. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home, LLC in Salem, Arkansas.
