Frank W. Oliver was born on November 15, 1927 to William "Sime" and Mary Elizabeth (Stone) Oliver in Salem, Arkansas.
He was married to Oneta Rosier May 29, 1948 and to this union two sons were born. He was an army veteran of World War II being stationed in Okinawa and the Philippines. He retired from the Arkansas State Highway Department with several years of service. He was also a farmer. He passed away November 12,2016 in Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 88 years, 11 months, and 28 days. He was a very loving and caring person and a role model for many.
He is survived by his wife Oneta of the family home; son, Eddy and wife Jeanie of Viola, Arkansas; daughter-in-law, Judy Oliver of Salem, Arkansas; four grandsons, Casey Oliver and wife April of Salem, Arkansas; Jason Oliver and wife Megon of Russellville, Arkansas; Sach Oliver and wife Codi of Bentonville, Arkansas; and Jake Oliver of Brooklyn, New York; seven great grandchildren Mallory and Wesley Oliver of Salem, Arkansas, Bennett, Luke and Nate Oliver of Russellville, Arkansas and Reesa and Reagan Oliver of Bentonville, Arkansas and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Mickey Oliver, two half brothers, Jack and Darrell Dalrymple and sister, Ruth Lambeth.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Viola First Baptist Church in Viola, Arkansas with Bro. Larry Ring officiating. Visitation will be Monday, November 14, 2016 at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. Interment will be in Flint Springs Cemetery in Viola, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Casey Oliver, Jake Oliver, Jason Oliver, Sach Oliver, Jerry Brison and Donnie Rosier. Honorary Pallbearers are Roy Wood, Larry Hampton, Larry Duncan, Coy Stone, Neal McCandlis, Elwin Wray, and Joe Hollabaugh. Memorials may be made to Flint Springs Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
