Imogene Campbell, 91, of Salem, Arkansas, was born on May 25, 1925, in Union, Arkansas, daughter of Thomas Steven and Frances “Fannie” (Cargill) Caruthers. She departed this life on September 7, 2016 at Salem, Arkansas.
Imogene married Jimmie Lee Campbell at Salem, Arkansas in November of 1946 and to this union 3 children were born. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a homemaker. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Union, Arkansas and a member of the Bethany Sunday School Class at Salem First Baptist Church.
Imogene is survived by her son, Michael Campbell of Seattle, Washington; two daughters, Janice Campbell of Seattle, Washington and Sheila Cochran(David) of Salem, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Amber Tierney (Justin) of Cabot, Arkansas, Ashley Eaton (James) of Cabot, Arkansas, and Brennan Cochran (Tiffany Landers) of Sturkie, Arkansas; eleven great grandchildren, Brant, Preslee, Ayza, Gavin, Blayne, Kennady, Everly Gene, Kinley, Keelie, Koy and Kip and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers, and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 9, 2016, 2:00 PM, at Barker Funeral Home, in Salem, Arkansas with burial in Union Cemetery, Union, Arkansas. Visitation will be Thursday, September 8, 2016, 6-8 PM at Barker Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Brennan Cochran, Justin Tierney, James Eaton, Scott Watkins, Devin Bozeman, and Ernie Jewell. Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Michael Moody, Dr. David Kauffman, Mark Reeves, Dr. Jim Bozeman, Bob Coleman, and Larry Grass. Memorials may be made to the Salem First Baptist Church.
