Reid Cameron Wilcox was born in Washington, D.C. on May 15, 1955, son of Andrew Reid and Doris Elizabeth (Ogden) Wilcox. He departed this life May 20, 2016, at his home in Salem, Arkansas, at the age of 61 years and 5 days.
Reid was united in marriage to Jeanie Rene Bassham on May 26, 1979, at Salem, Arkansas. He worked as a Master Control Operator for KPLC TV in Lake Charles, Louisiana, for 34 years and was currently employed by Fulton County. Reid was of the Presbyterian faith.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanie Bassham of Salem, Arkansas; parents, A.R. and Doris Wilcox of Mt. Pleasant, Arkansas; three sisters, Heather Weiss (Chuck) of Oak Point, Texas, Sandy Robbins (Brent) of Folsom, Louisiana, and Robyn Wilcox of Costa Mesa, California; brother-in-law, David Bassham (Sherry) of Moko, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Teresa Brichacek (Mike) of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; nine nieces and nephews, Jessica Bassham, Matthew Coldiron, Katie Robbins, Karen Robbins, Matthew Weiss, Austin Bassham, Nolan Bassham, Ben Brichacek and Carrie Brichacek; and many other relatives and friends. Reid was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Sherry Bassham Cowen and father-in-law, Roy Bassham.
Visitation will be held Monday, May 23, 2016, 4:00 PM-7:00 PM at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem. Memorials may be made to Stateline Cemetery Association.
