Al Ribitzki was born in Rosebud, Texas, July 6, 1931, son of Anton and Veronica (Canik) Ributzki. He departed this life in Little Rock, Arkansas, Sunday, May 8, 2016, at the age of 84 years, 10 months 2 and days.
Al was united in marriage to Lillie LaFrances Porsch on January 15, 1953, in Slaton, Texas. He served his Country with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Al was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Thayer, Missouri, where he served as a Euchristic Minister for many years. He was a farmer and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Al is survived by one daughter, Joy Goff (Bill) of Conway, Arkansas; a son, Roy Ribitzki (Doris) of Mountain View, Arkansas; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; six sisters, Elizabeth, Rose, Dorothy, Margaret, Theresa, and Sister Clemence Ribitzki; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie; one son, Walter "Tony" Ribitzki; a grandson, Steven Paul Fuller; his parents; three sisters and five brothers.
Funeral mass will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2016, 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Thayer, Missouri, with Father Augustine Lourduswami officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Salem, Arkansas, with services entrusted to Barker Funeral Home of Salem. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, May 10, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Memorials preferred to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Fairview Cemetery.
