Artie Louise Story was born in Sturkie, Arkansas, on September 29, 1932, daughter of Earnest Joshua and Bonnie Beatrice (Cawvey) Coleman. She departed this life Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at National Health Care in West Plains, Missouri, at the age of 83 years, 5 months and 1 day.
Louise was united in marriage to James Story in Sturkie, Arkansas, on February 1, 1953. She was a faithful and active member of the Sturkie Church of Christ. Louise will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by two daughters, Letricia Brennaman (Dennis) of Raytown, Missouri, and Beverly Forsberg of Kearney, Missouri; three sons, Phil Story of Highland, Arkansas, Dan Story of Sturkie, Arkansas, and Keith Story (Melissa) of Mountain Home, Arkansas; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one sister, Deloris Ward (Charles) of Sturkie, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 4, 2016, 1:00 PM at Sturkie Church of Christ in Sturkie, Arkansas, with Bro. Matthew Pendergrass and Bro. Ashley Pendergrass officiating. Pallbearers are Joshua Story, Ryan Forsberg, Sean Werner, Derek Ballman, Colton Story, Justin Conway, Jason Jordan, Tamara Taylor and Acy Beebe. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Ward, Jim Mefford, Roy Williams, Dewey Cawvey, John Cawvey and Kelly Hammond. Interment will be in the Watkins Cemetery in Sturkie, Arkansas, with arrangements entrusted to Barker Funeral Home of Salem. Family will receive friends Friday, March 4, 11:00 AM until time of service at the church.
